Charity Shops
A major source of income for the Halifax & District Branch are our 3 charity shops that are situated in Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Brighouse. The majority of goods in the shops are donated and all profits made go directly to helping the animals in our care.

We are also grateful to the many volunteers who help to ensure that the goods that we sell are cleaned, sorted, steamed and mended. Anyone wishing to volunteer please contact your nearest shop or collect an application form from the animal centre.
We can sell most items however there are some things that we are not allowed to sell, bearing in mind that we have to consider trading standards legislation, health & Safety etc
Cannot/Must not sell
Damaged goods. Toys that do not have a CE mark, Childrens car seats, helmets, riding hats, pushchairs or prams.
We can sell
Clothes in good condition, shoes in pairs, accessories, jewellery, hats, belts and bags,curtains, linens, bric a brac, homeware, videos, DVDs (originals not copied), childrens toys that have a CE mark. Modern electrical goods in working order.
